David L. Showalter
Honorary Board Member, Mentoring Ministry Director
hon_presbyter@neupc.orgI was first associated with the State of Nebraska in the early 1950’s, as a boy of 2 or 3 years old attending a church in Bellevue pastored by Bro Worley Davis.
Bro Jerry Tiller became pastor just prior to our move to Alaska in 1955. While in Alaska, we met and were pastored by Sis Agnes Rich, from 1957-1959.
We returned to Nebraska in 1959 and once again attended the church in Bellevue, pastored by Bro Jerry Tiller.
In 1966, I left for Bible College in Portland, Oregon. After graduation, my wife, Jeanie, and I came back to Nebraska and settled in Grand Island to assist Sis Agnes Rich, as Assistant Pastor, from 1969-1978. The church was located on Division and Vine Streets and was hit by lightning in 1968 and burned down. We helped tear-down the old building and rebuild in a new location on Oak Street. The lumber from that church was ‘reused’ in the new building.
In 1978, we moved to Omaha, NE to pastor Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church until 2016 when I transitioned the Pastorate to my Co-Pastor Steve Showalter, where I remain as Pastor Emeritus.
I have served in various offices in the Great Plains District as well as when Nebraska became its own district in 1976.
The offices that I have held are:
Sectional Youth Secretary (1973), District Youth Secretary (1976), District Foreign Missions (Global Missions) Director, District Home Missions (North American Missions), District Presbyter-at-large (1983) and District Presbyter for Section 3 (1999), Chairman of Christian Life Camp Board and District Secretary (1999-2008).
I currently hold the office of Honorary Board Member since our 2019 District Conference.

Elton Tiger
Children’s Ministries Director
childrens_dir@neupc.orgHello! I am Elton Tiger, Children’s Pastor at Bethel Christian Ministries in Bellevue, NE and Children’s Ministry Director for the Nebraska District UPCI.
I am married to my wonderful wife, Jackie. We have known each other since we were little kids when our father’s worked together in the United States Air Force. We lived in Alaska together in 1979, where my wife was born. We later were all stationed in Germany together where we spent a lot of family time together. We reconnected in Nebraska in 1995, and had an instant connection. We were married young, in 1999 and started our family almost immediately. We have 5 daughters, and as of October 2020, 1 son-in-law!
I was baptized in a home fellowship group in 1999 by my father. I served God off and on for the next couple of years. In 2003, my wife and I fully committed to serving the Lord and began regular attendance at Bethel Christian Ministries. I worked in several different ministries early on including prison ministry, sound ministry and sunday school. Through the next several years I found my passion working with the children. I took over as Children’s Pastor at Bethel in 2010, where I continue to minister. While there have been many highlights since starting my ministry with children, the most impactful has been our VBS. In 2017 we rolled out our 1st VBS, it ran for 3 evenings. The following year, we decided to run a 5 full day VBS, which was a huge success. We had approximately 100 children register, with an average of 85 each day in attendance. In 2019, we had 130 registered children, averaging 105 each day, of which more than 50% were not from our local church. By the end of the week, we had 9 children receive the Holy Ghost! Due to COVID we were unable to have our VBS in 2020, but plan to have it in 2021!
This led me to follow the calling God had on my life and pursue my local license. I obtained my local license with the UPCI in 2017, and then my general license in 2018.
I became the Nebraska District Children’s Ministry Secretary in 2017 and currently serve as the Nebraska District Children’s Ministry Director.

Kathy Siegler
Children’s Ministries Secretary
childrens_sec@neupc.orgAlthough raised in church, Kathy did not get into this wonderful Apostolic truth until she was in her twenties.
My husband James was 18 years old and I was 17 years old when we got married and we were married 36 years before his passing. We have three grown children and two beautiful granddaughters.
In October of 2009, we were voted in as pastor and wife of Apostolic of Alliance in Alliance Nebraska. Together we served Apostolic of Alliance for ten years until my husband’s passing in 2019. I have also served in many other aspects but the most rewarding was serving with my husband doing bible studies.
Currently, I am a licensed minister of the United Pentecostal Church International, the Pastor of Apostolics of Alliance, prayer representative for section 1, and the children’s ministry secretary for the Nebraska District.

Children’s ministry is more than a position for her. The children of today need love and as much of Jesus and scriptural learning as we can give them. This world is out to get and corrupt our children and if we do not reach them, the world will. Kathy’s heart is to reach every child possible.
You can help Children’s Ministry do more to reach our children in the Nebraska communities by giving a donation to Children’s Ministry today. You will be blessed!

Michelle Gossett
Promotions Director
promotions@neupc.orgI was born into the Apostolic faith. My parents are Phil and Shawnelle Alley, who Pastor Apostolic Grace Fellowship, In Fremont NE.
I received the Holy Ghost in 1999 at the age of 7 while attending a Children’s Church Service at our annual family camp meeting. I was Baptized in Jesus name 4 days later and have been involved in ministry for my entire life.
I grew up working weekends, along side my parents, at the previously owned campgrounds in York, Nebraska. Some of my most valued memories are working to update the old machine shed building into a beautiful and inviting Children’s Tabernacle, cleaning up the camp grounds in preparation for our family and youth camps and of course the services and unity building fellowship that followed at those meetings.
I was involved in teaching Sunday school from around the age of 10. During the ages of 9-14 I was involved in Bible Quizzing. As a Freshman in High school I helped create the youth team at our local church in Fremont. I was a part of this youth team until I graduated high school and left for Texas Bible College (TBC) the fall of 2010, where I graduated with my associates in Theology in 2012. I met my husband, Sam while at TBC, who also graduated from TBC with an Associates Degree in Music.
We were married in 2012 and moved to the Austin, TX area, where we attended Hope Family Fellowship, pastored by Sam’s father, Andy Gossett. While attending Hope, I was involved in Sunday School, Praise Singing and anything else that was asked. As home mission church plant it was all hands on deck. My husband was the Music Director of Hope.
In 2015 we moved back to Nebraska and attended The Church of Omaha. While there, Sam was heavily involved with the Music Team and I was involved in Sunday School, teaching life groups and as a couple we led the Hyphen Group.
In 2018, I became the Nebraska District Promotion Director. It has been an honor to work with and beside the amazing leaders of the Nebraska District and one I am excited to continue doing.
We had our miracle baby, a daughter, in 2016 and were blessed with our surprise baby boy in 2019. I am a full time, stay at home mama and view this as my greatest ministry to date.
In February 2019 God called us Apostolic Grace Fellowship, my home church. Sam is Music Director and I am the Sunday School Director and our Out Reach Coordinator. We are involved in teaching Bible Studies and teaching Life Group Lessons. I have a heart for worship and love expressing my gratitude at His goodness, as it was once taught to me, “God is good, all the time, for it is His very nature.”
God has blessed me abundantly and I will forever be grateful!
